Comcast Fights DVR With Spoilers
Apparently, Comcast has decided to try and ruin their own DVR business with spoilers!
On their own website, Comcast has MAJOR SPOILERS for the upcoming episode of Six Feet Under. These spoilers are not hidden in an article on Six Feet Under with a warning at the beginning about spoilers but they are right on the entertainment front page in the Entertainment Headlines — CAUTION: If you’re a Six Feet Under Fan and you don’t want to know what happens in the upcoming episode, DON’T click on the preceding link to the comcast site — the spoilers may still be there!
What was Comcast thinking? Any ReplayTV and Tivo owner (and Comcast DVR “renter”) is not going to be too excited about recording Six Feet Under and watching it later after reading these spoilers. They should have had an article on the upcoming episode with a warning about spoilers in the article and just a link from the front page (like CNN did with their Six Feet Under article) but that would make too much sense.
I will definitely make sure to never visit the Comcast website again — who knows what spoilers they might publish.
