So it has been nearly two years. Back when it was announced the plan was to have initial deployment in late 2006. That did slip to field trials in late 2006 (which have been underway) and initial deployment in early 2007. Not bad for such a big effort. It isn't a port of their existing software, it is a ground-up re-implementation of the TiVo feature set to run in an OCAP environment. A lot more work than was initially believed.
